Here we use flank steaks which is a cheaper cut but you can certainly use your favorite cuts of steak.

Mexican Herbed Steak - Easy Mexican Recipe For Mexican Main Course


  • 2 beef flank steaks (1 to 1/2 lbs each)
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1/4 fresh oregano (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

How to make Mexican Herbed Steak:


  • In a plastic bag or bowl, mix in the lime juice, oregano, olive oil, salt and pepper and garlic
  • Mix well then add beef
  • Turn beef to coat with marinade and leave in refrigerator (15 to 30 mins)
  • Turn once during refrigeration period
  • Remove beef from marinade, discard marinade
  • Cover and grill beef under broiler or barbeque
  • Cut beef diagonally across
  • Serve with your favorite vegetable
If you do not have access to fresh oregano, use dried ones work just as well. Subsitute with 2 tbsp of dried oregano leaves instead.
