Hotel Rating:

We adore the Tudor-style architecture of this house which was built by a former premier. This is a perfect place for a romantic escape for two. Wonderful host, delightful atmosphere, it's definitely one of our favorite hot spot.

Maxim's comments: I'm an art lover so when I heard this place was located within a stone's throw away from The Art Gallery of Victoria, I jumped at the chance to stay here. Excellent place! Delightful service.

What We Didn't Like:

Location. You definitely need a car to transport you from this place to the city centre. You cannot stay for only a night as the minimum stay is two nights. You cannot bring children to this place if they are under 12 years old, so that could be a bonus or a minus depending on your case.

Price tag. At about $200 per night (more during peak season), this place is not cheap especially if you have to stay for two nights in a row.

Maxim's comments: No children as this is a quiet retreat for grown-ups only.
