What We Like:

Hotel Rating:

We liked the location of this hotel. It was located within the heart of Victoria itself and a stone throw walk to The Bay and other major stores. We like the fact the hotel was close to a Greek restaurant, Millos Restaurant and The Old Spaghetti Factory. We adore our room which came with a kitchen unit, a separate bedroom suite and living room. We also thought the private balcony where several seagulls greeted us in the morning and evening quite entertaining.

We cannot speak enough of Vista 8 Restaurant which is located at the top of Chateau Victoria. The view was simply amazing though the food was not quite up to our standard, we didn't care as we dined and enjoyed the view of Victoria around us.

Staff members were friendly and helpful. We also like the fact that parking was complimentary. Having stayed four nights, we were plesantly surprised at the room service and attention given to our room. Definite on our list of favorite budget-friendly hotels.

Maxim's comments: I love this place! I love the restaurant and the splendid view. I would totally take my girlfriend here for a romantic night out.

What We Didn't Like:

The seagulls. Alright, one of our team member thought the seagulls were a bit annoying. Having them screeched at you for scraps in the early morning was not amusing. We also thought at the balcony could use a bit of tender-loving-care as they were dirty and not at all inviting. (no deck chairs, no table).

Staircase leading into the hotel was horrible, especially from the car park. If you have a stroller, you might find it hard to navigate. Parking in this tiny, tiny lot was challenging so be prepared for tight spots.

Aileen's comments: Kitchen in our suite needs to be updated to a more modern look.
